Basketball camp in Switzerland

One week of elite basketball training, combined with language immersion and the full Chantemerle summer camp experience

The Chantemerle difference

More than a basketball camp

Chantemerle partners with the DLang Training Basketball Camp to offer a professional basketball academy this summer. Train under a proven programme developed by Derrick Lang, former NBA player, alongside international coaches and professional players, all within the structure and safety of a Swiss private boarding school founded in 1966.

The DLang Summer Camp is built around a specific, proven programme designed for boys and girls from age 10. Full-day sessions cover drills, training routines, game sense and teamwork, everything needed to become a better player. Derrick Lang is present throughout the entire camp with his team of international coaches.

  • Led by Derrick Lang, former NBA player
  • International coaches and pro players on site

What age groups can join the basketball camp?

The DLang programme is open to boys and girls from age 10. Groups are structured by level and age so every player trains with peers at a similar stage.

What level is required?

All levels are welcome. The programme is designed to help every participant progress, from first-timers to juniors already playing in competitions. Coaches adapt sessions to the group from day one.

How many hours of basketball per day?

The DLang camp runs as a full-day programme. Sessions cover drills, physical conditioning, game sense, teamwork and real match play from morning through to the afternoon.

Is Derrick Lang actually there?

Yes. Derrick Lang is present throughout the entire camp alongside his team of international coaches and professional players. He is involved in sessions and accessible to participants throughout the programme.

Can my child do basketball and language classes at the same time?

The basketball camp runs as a full-day programme, so language classes are not scheduled during the same sessions. Participants looking to combine sport and language should look at our half-day sport options.

When does the basketball camp run?

The DLang Training Basketball Camp runs across multiple sessions throughout July 2027. Most participants combine one week of basketball with one or more weeks of the general Chantemerle summer programme.

What does a typical basketball day look like?

Full-day sessions structured around drills, physical training, game routines and match play. Evenings back at camp with activities and international students from over 30 countries.

Where do the training sessions take place?

Sessions are held at professional facilities near Chantemerle. Transport to and from the courts is fully managed by the school, parents do not need to arrange anything.
