Horse riding camp in Switzerland
Equestrian training for juniors, combined with language immersion and the full Swiss summer camp experience
More than a riding camp
Chantemerle partners with the École d’Équitation de La Tour de Peilz, founded in 1966, to offer a complete equestrian programme this summer. Ride every day, build confidence, and learn a language — all within the structure and safety of a Swiss private boarding school.
The Chantemerle difference
Riding that builds more than technique
The equestrian programme is run by the École d’Équitation de La Tour de Peilz, one of the most established riding schools on Lake Geneva. Coaches welcome complete beginners and experienced riders alike, from age 10. Small groups, daily progression, and a genuine focus on confidence and respect for the animal.
All levels, all ages
The programme is open to juniors from age 10, whether they have never sat on a horse or are already competing. Groups are formed by level so every rider progresses at the right pace, with coaches who adapt to each participant from the very first session.
Confidence, respect, progression
Each session is built around three values: self-confidence, respect for the animal, and measurable progress. Beyond riding technique, participants develop focus, patience and responsibility — skills that go well beyond the saddle.
Riding and the full camp experience
Equestrian sessions run as full-day immersions. Outside of the stables, participants join the rest of the camp: activities, excursions, Europa-Park, and evenings with students from over 30 countries. Intensive riding without missing out on the summer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the Chantemerle horse riding camp
What age groups can join the riding camp?
The programme is open to juniors from age 10. Groups are formed by level and age so every rider trains alongside peers at a similar stage.
What riding level is required?
None. The programme welcomes complete beginners as well as experienced riders. Coaches assess each participant at the start and adapt the sessions accordingly.
How many hours of riding per day?
The equestrian programme runs as a full-day session. Participants spend the morning on language classes at Chantemerle and the afternoon at the stables, or commit to a full day on horseback.
Who runs the equestrian programme?
The programme is delivered by the École d’Équitation de La Tour de Peilz, founded in 1966. All coaches are certified professionals with extensive experience teaching juniors at every level.
Can my child do riding and language classes at the same time?
Yes. The programme is specifically designed to combine both. Morning language classes at Chantemerle, afternoon equestrian sessions at La Tour de Peilz. One week, two skills.
How long is the riding camp?
The equestrian programme runs weekly throughout July 2026. Most participants combine one week of riding with one or more weeks of the general Chantemerle summer programme.
What does a typical day look like?
Morning language classes at the school, followed by transport to the stables for afternoon sessions covering riding technique, horse care and confidence-building exercises. Evenings back at camp with activities and international students.
Where are the stables located?
The École d’Équitation is based in La Tour de Peilz, a few minutes from Chantemerle. Transport to and from the stables is fully managed by the school.
