Summer camp - Learning programmes

A camp to learn, discover and have fun

A summer camp to learn, grow and have fun

Chantemerle is a private boading school founded and managed by the Wegmüller family since 1966. This summer, Chantemerle invites students to a unique programme combining language learning, hands-on projects and personal growth together with sports, fun activities and outdoor adventures.

Offering a summer camp at a year-long boarding school provides unparalleled structure, safety, and academic excellence. With small class sizes and dedicated guidance, each participant receives the support necessary to achieve meaningful progress and build lasting confidence.

Beautifully located in nature, overlooking lake Geneva and the Alps, Chantemerle stands out as a genuine boutique school: intentionally small (65 students), with personalized academic and pastoral care in a healthy family atmosphere.

The Chantemerle difference

Learning that makes a difference

Our summer learning modules help students make clear progress in a short time, in small groups with close guidance. Through practical lessons and engaging projects, they build stronger language or academic skills, as well as confidence and teamwork, while enjoying the full summer camp experience.

SpeakUp : language learning in action - French, English or German

Programme available throughout the summer camp from July 19th to August 2nd, 2026

At Chantemerle, language learning goes beyond textbooks, combining hands-on exercises and immersive experiences to make learning French, English or German efficient and fun.

Through projects, students build confidence in their ability to communicate and collaborate in the target language. Faced with real-world problems, we teach them to think critically, conduct research, and engage in debates.

The French or English Creative Writing track encourages advanced level students (B1+) to explore their imagination and develop their writing skills through stories, essays and creative exercises.

Surrounded by experienced native teachers, in small classes and during activities, our programme transforms language learning into a practical, engaging, and memorable journey, equipping students with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in the 21st century.

Make It Count ! Life skills challenges for teenagers

Four workshops are planned throughout the programme:

  • TEDx debates — improve critical thinking, confident communication and the ability to defend diverse perspectives
  • Safe Water Cube — an engineering workshop to develop teamwork and leadership skills to build a drinking-water fountain for villages in Africa
  • Outdoor survival challenge — develop problem-solving, perseverance and resilience skills around outdoor survival and adventure challenges
