Football camp in Switzerland
Elite football training for juniors, combined with language immersion and the full Swiss summer camp experience
More than a football camp
Chantemerle partners with Djourou Elite Football Camp to offer a professional football academy this summer. Train twice a day under the method developed by Johan Djourou — 76 caps for Switzerland, former Arsenal — all within the structure and safety of a Swiss private boarding school founded in 1966.
The Chantemerle difference
Football training built around elite standards
The Djourou Elite method was developed by Johan Djourou himself, who is present throughout the entire camp. Two training sessions per day, a high-intensity rhythm, and a programme focused on pushing limits while having fun. From age 10, open to motivated players who want to experience what elite football actually feels like.
Twice a day, every day
Participants train twice daily under a programme designed to simulate professional football rhythms. Morning and afternoon sessions cover technique, physical conditioning, tactical awareness and match play. The pace is intense by design — this is for juniors who want to be pushed.
Train with Johan Djourou
Johan Djourou — 76 international caps, former Arsenal and Hamburg player — is present throughout the entire camp. Not as a figurehead. As a coach. Participants work directly with him, absorb his method, and get feedback from someone who played at the highest level.
Football and the full camp experience
Training runs as full-day sessions during the first two weeks of July 2026. Outside of the pitch, participants join the rest of the camp: activities, excursions, Europa-Park, and evenings with students from over 30 countries. Elite football without missing out on the summer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the Chantemerle tennis camp
What age groups can join the football camp?
The Djourou Elite programme is open to juniors from age 10. Groups are structured by level and age so every player trains with peers at a similar stage.
What level is required?
Participants should be motivated and ready for an intense rhythm. The programme is not designed for beginners — it targets juniors who want to experience elite football training and are ready to train twice a day.
How many hours of football per day?
Two full training sessions per day, morning and afternoon. The Djourou Elite method is built around a professional training rhythm, covering technique, physical conditioning, tactical work and match play.
Is Johan Djourou actually there?
Yes. Johan Djourou is present throughout the entire camp, not just for appearances. He is involved in sessions, gives feedback directly to participants, and is accessible throughout the programme.
Can my child do football and language classes at the same time?
The football camp runs as a full-day programme, so language classes are not scheduled during the same sessions. Participants looking to combine sport and language should look at our half-day sport options.
When does the football camp run?
The Djourou Elite Football Camp is available during the first two weeks of July 2026. Most participants combine one week of football with one or more weeks of the general Chantemerle summer programme.
What does a typical football day look like?
Morning training session covering technique and physical conditioning, followed by an afternoon session focused on tactical work and match play. Evenings back at camp with activities and international students from over 30 countries.
Where do the training sessions take place?
Sessions are held at professional facilities near Chantemerle. Transport to and from the training ground is fully managed by the school — parents do not need to arrange anything.
